Zganec out, Farran Nakajima in

Reserve striker leaves for greener pastures

Dinamo Zagreb striker Damir Zganec has signed for Brazilian club Santos after passing a medical. Zganec, who has not played a game this season, either competitively or non-competitively had earlier been put on the transfer list after he requested a move. The manager apparently agreed to let him go after receiving enquiries from clubs for the for the former Hadjuk Split hitman. The move cost Santos in the region of £6m, and this will be Zganec's second spell at the club following a short spell a year ago. Zganec made the move in time to play in the 2-1 win over Los Angeles Galaxy.

Meanwhile, Zagreb have captured Japanese youngster Issey Morgan Farran Nakajima from Rayo Vallecano for a cut-down price of £1.6m. The teenage midfielder has already been capped once by his national side and at the tender age of 19 looks to have been a steal. Ono was bought for £5m from Basel FC 6 days prior to his latest switch, but in a surprise move, was deemed surplus to requirements and offloaded at a loss. It seems Rayo's loss is Zagreb's gain.
